good times, good times...

Tom spent the morning throwing up. He has 'abdominal migraines' or cyclical vomiting syndrome. Right now, it doesn't matter what you call it, it sucks. The good news is that it is getting less frequent and he should outgrow it during puberty. Which appears to be making its presence known.

Jason had to have a tooth extracted this afternoon. Heavy sigh. So, we trucked over to the dentist for our appointment. But, we watched Steve Martin in Little Shop of Horrors first because, well, it's freakin' funny. And that's how we roll.

The visit went well. He was pretty silly under the gas. He kept saying, "I feel funny." Huge smiles and goofy expressions. I kept thinking, "Is this real life?" Hilarious. But, they didn't make me leave the room during the procedure. In fact, I got to see the whole thing. They didn't even mute the cracking of his tooth for me. It was over very quickly. Too quickly because as we were leaving, my nerves caught up with me and I realized that I was about to pass out. I made it to the front of the office and crash landed in a chair just as the world went black. After an assault of embarrassing questions like "Are you okay?" "Can I get you some water?" "Are you okay to drive?" "Should we call someone for you?" and so on, I made it out of the office with Jason. Poor guy. On the drive home he asks, "Why did they bring you the water, Mommy?"

How embarrassing for you, but it did make a good story to blog!

When I had all four of my wisdom teeth out at once, I watched the surgeon through his glasses AND I felt the last tooth being cut out. I know, I'm weird.
