Down In It

The boys have started a garden for green beans and carrots. Recently, we added wildflowers. The joys of gardening in Texas include the lovely bedrock that is about one inch below the grass. Once we got the veggies started, we put a new bed in the front yard as well for our snapdragons and more gardenias. Love me my gardenias.

Lots of worms, so it must be good.
I'm including a photo I took of the side of the road here to give you an idea of what we are digging through.

Woo hoo! Initial success!
This is the wildflower patch Tom just planted.

Some spare rocks from our digging. Most of the ones we dug up were used to line the new beds.

Bj and I are about to start our veggie garden at home next week! I've just decided to say screw digging and I'm going to build above ground beds. You've seen our rock situtation. It's not pretty. Well, I guess it is really pretty, but not for gardening!

I think we'll have to come over this afternoon and pay a visit to your little mini-farm!! Maybe BJ will get more excited when he sees your garden in action.
