Torn between beauty and that was freakin' hilarious

On the way to and from Leakey, I've often seen this herd of bison. And, I love them. I can tell they love me, too. But, I've never actually stopped to take their photos because of one thing or another. We'll call those things Tom and Jay, respectively. Just kidding, but it does seem to be harder to get myself to pull over when they are with me and it's at the end of a long drive, blah blah blah.
So, this time, Chris is in the car with me because he picked us up from Fredericksburg (long story) and he suggests we stop and so we do and I'm all happy getting to walk up to these guys as they lounge around. I'm not a "nature photographer" but I love taking nature shots. What I've been told, and what I am learning firsthand is that nature is much slower than a four year old child. Nature takes its sweet time eating grass before looking up. Nature doesn't care about your composition. So, I was pretty happy with this shot. It's got the beauty of the animal and the body positioning looks good and so he's not looking at me, but it's not a bad try. But, this. This was freakin' hilarious and I just have to share it with you.

Hilarious! Animals don't care if anyone is watching.
(You may have noticed that I am following you; I enjoy reading your blog posts.)

That's freaking hilarious! I love it! I could take pictures of animals all day long. (I just wish I were good at it!) I also think I could live happily in a zoo. I'm not kidding.

Ah, hell! I've wanted to stop and take pictures of those bison every time I come to Austin. You beat me to it, hooker.

Perfect captures. I will say he looks rather relived....
