So on Saturday we joined up with the Sea Cadets for a trip to UT to check out their Chemistry Circus. It was soooooo cool. We were a pretty small group for it, so all of the kids were able to participate in the experiments. I've narrowed it down to the ones my kids did and my favorite pictures. Cuz I'm like that. Duh.
Walking there in the rain.We started small with simple reactions.
Jason's 'cool' experiment.
That earned him a glow stick. Groovy.
Yep, shot in the dark got me this explosion. Pretty awesome.
Tom got to burn money that didn't burn. Hmmm. Very suspicious.
ooopickmepickmepickme!!!!!
All of the kids got a balloon that was lit by a candle- I didn't catch Tom's...
...but I got Jay's. Very cool. That's right, I said so myself.
Hammering with a banana.
Tom and two others got to make some ice cream for the crowd.
Serious work.
Resident sucker, I mean, Chris got to create a rainstorm with one of the other dads. This was great- the explosion went up about twenty feet, so as soon as this happened, I couldn't see anymore. Crazy.
We rounded out the day with a trip to the museum, of course. Cuz that's what we do. Woop!

Looks like fun! Are you homeschooling them again? Or was this a weekend activity with the Cadets?
Just another weekend of Wintenburg fun. I do miss homeschooling, although, we do still teach them on top of the regular school work. We're mean that way!
I like that you're mean that way!
Must say, I've always liked you, Kirsten. ;)
I seriously want to go and do that! WOW! I love that Chris is totally soaked :)
