This past Saturday I went on a photo tour called From Here to There. It is a pet project of one of my instructors from ACC named Rama. She's this crazy Indian woman whom I love and adore. One of my classmates, Sharon, joined me and a group of others and we went from Austin to Fredericksburg. We take photos along the way and then meet at the end for drinks and dinner. We also put on a show with prints from all of the photogs who go and it turns out to be pretty groovy. The upside is that it is a day with the camera. The downside was that it was over 100 degrees all day and I ended up getting dehydrated despite drinking copious amounts of water and tea all day.
One of the fun things about this is going off of the beaten path and finding guys like this one. He was mad at me in this shot, stomping his foot and shaking his head up and down, and snorting. Honestly, I'm scared of big animals, so it was a little intimidating. Especially since I'm not sure how strong the barbed wire fence really is.

I shot this one because, well, I was just that close so why not, right?

Do you think that little wire is gonna help that much?

Great shots, Amanda. I SO wish I could have been there. For real. I would have had a beer with that steer and you could have photographed the whole thing.
Can't wait to see more!! What are you waiting for?
OMG, those are awesome!! And seriously? You're afraid of a little cow? KIDDING!! Sounds like a fun day!!
But, he, he huffed and puffed and stomped his foot!
