Eight Random Things

My friend, Christy, over at Real Life Adventures, tagged me to do this meme. It's been a long week, but I think I can come up with 8 random facts.... Okay, I'm copying her post almost too closely...

Here are the rules:

1-Each player starts with eight random fact/habits about themselves.
2-People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3-At the end of your blog post, you need to choose people to get tagged and list their name.
4-Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged and to read your blog.

Here are 8 random things about me:

1- Everyone knows this, but my first name used to be Amy. I had it legally changed after I got married.
2- I love symmetry- I even chew my food on each side of my mouth the same amount. This was hard while I was having root canals on one side.
3- I have named almost all of my cars: Bertha (diesel station wagon,) Bessie (Chevy Impala,) Rex (Nissan truck,) and Sweetness (Passat wagon.) I didn't name the Passat sedan, or I just don't remember the name, not sure.
4- I rash from most metals- seriously, I have a rash right now. I think it's the nickel in them.
5- My family's nickname for me when I was a kid was Amelia Bedelia. Yeah, from the children's book. No. You can't. It's just not the same.
6- I went to a Rainbow Gathering when I was in college up in Colorado. You know, one of those places where you end up with an FBI file at the end of it...
7- I marched on Washington when I was in high school to protest for the pro-choice movement. Yeah, another FBI file moment. I waved at the camera for that one. (Sorry, Mom.) I remember what my mom said to me about abortion when I was in high school. She said, "Wait until you have a child and see how you feel about it then." She was right, it did change. Maybe not politically, but personally.
8- The scariest part of doing this post is that I don't have any friends to tag because Lisa and Christy already did it! If you aren't getting my point, I want more comments!!! I'll be friendly and tag you for a meme.
