Garner State Park Rocks!!!

Camping over the weekend at the State Park. What a gorgeous location! We had lots of fun hiking in the hills- true hills do exist in Texas, turns out. We swam in Rio Frio, which was lovely. Shallow, cold, clean, beautiful, and fun for all. Even Eli. She went nuts- she jumped off of a small cliff to get to the water as soon as I let her go.

Jason has been renamed "Wild Jay Goat" out of respect to his previous life as a mountain goat. He can climb anything in no time flat without breaking a sweat. Crazy. The boy LOVES camping and being out in the wild. I see rock climbing in our future.

Thomas loved the swimming more than anything. The two of them really enjoyed the strong current at the base of the mini-falls. Very cool. Thomas worked on the fire, roasted marshmallows (roasting may be too strong a word... if'n you know what I mean,) and kept us all moving.

Good times. Very good times.

Beautiful pictures. Funny, I happen to live on the same river. Yep, we have a fire ring for roasting marshmallows too. And indoor sleeping accomodations. And PLENTY of big hills (Texas mountains) to climb. But I digress.

LOVE the picture of Eli :)
